The film is called DYMAXION: Buckminster Fuller's Dream Restored...It is about legacy, mentorship and genius.
Bucky's relentless advocacy for humanity permeates this film. Bucky was the Leonardo da Vinci of our times. He asked: "If success or failure of this planet and of human beings depended on how I am and what I do... How would I be? What would I do?"
Filming took place over two years and tells the story of Buckminster Fuller the world's first green architect, and the story beyond. Noel Murphy traveled to England and Spain, as well as all over the United States, doing research and filming. He talked to everyone from Jay Leno to Norman Foster. The New York Times published an article about "The Last Dymaxion" January 2011. DYMAXION is intended for the Sundance Film Festival 2013.
What is this film and why? It's about the genius of Buckminster Fuller- and his dimensional approach to accessing the basic value that humanity has what it takes to not only survive, but to thrive. Everyone haveing food, quality shelter, and mobility.
It's my intention that along the way you have the opportunity to be more inspired about who you are. Bucky is not so off-the-charts brilliant that it takes aged professors to take their best shot in order to explain the unfathomable complexities that he played like a basketball.
Bucky not only had the deepest understanding of the fabric in which we live, but a once-in-a-century understanding of the universe itself. "I've discovered the coordinates of Universe" he declared. Einstein was his fan, John Lennon was his fan, as were Amelia Earhart and Indira Ghandi. My hope is that after you watch The Last Dymaxion you'll feel a little closer to why, and you'll see glimpses of some of your own genius along the way.
